yes yes proxies of death, although if you get WC3 you can set the ports to 8080 which is usually the defualt port for web browsing, or set the connection port to w/e they tell you to use for web browsing
 
Our school runs T3 just to our school, played the other day after everyone left with some staff (comp teachers). <3 That T3 in full effect

The thing is that it's the library computer lab computers, so ya know they don't want ya to install stuff on there, even though it's all lost when it shuts down. So I could but ya know then I'd get yelled at and stuff.
 
Lots of schools are getting wireless networks ala netcafe. You could get an uber gaming laptop and go that way.
 
get an emachine. That's all u need.





all joking aside, i'm very happy with my emachine. it was a few hundred dollars less than the HP's (and a WHOLE lot less than alienware) and they now use standard sized components (when they first came out, they had specially sized power supplies, which you had to purchase from them).
 
Acctually Alienwares laptops are quality, and they don't have the jacked up prices of the desktops. They're on par price wise with Dell for a comparable laptop, and you have far more options and quality parts then you do anywhere else. Also they'll upgrade everything for only the price of the parts, that includeds screen, chasis, mobo, whatever, and even the video modules now their doing in a way that the end user can just buy new ones and replace them at home.
My own real complaint about em is that their Sentia line, the one's that use the Centrino(Aka Banias or M), only come with the Radeon 9000 mobility instead of the 9600 Ultra mobility or whatever one's their nicest one now. Plus the Area 51-M's are like 10 pounds and their batteries last for like an hour and will cook your lap like a baked potatoe, but that's what happens when you have a giant screen, use desktop processors, and things like that. Still would like one though.
Oh and there's no way my school's geting any kinda wireless cafe thingy, it's a bloody commuter community college.
