These are the changes for your class in 5.0.4. This list is not exhaustive and does not include glyphs. It’s purpose is to enable you to quickly see what’s different with your class.
If a power isn’t mentioned, it probably hasn’t changed much. If a power is marked as available to all specs, it may be a talent or have been changed to a core class power. If a power is marked as removed, it may be completely gone or now only part of a glyph.
Death Knights
Chains of Ice -- now does a straight 60% snare for it’s entire duration and applies Frost Fever
*NEW* Control Undead -- like the Warlock’s Enslave Demon but for undead
Frost Presence -- has doubled the original effect
*NEW* Necrotic Strike -- Costs Death Runes and absorbs healing on enemy target
Blood Tap -- Now available to all specs
Death Pact -- Now available to all specs
On a Pale Horse -- Now available to all specs
Lichborne -- Now available to all specs
Chillblains -- Now available to all specs
Runic Empowerment -- Now available to all specs
Anti-Magic Zone -- Now available to all specs
Death’s Advance -- Now available to all specs
Runic Corruptions -- Now available to all specs
Desecration -- Now available to all specs and is more powerful
Unholy Blight -- Now available to all specs and is more powerful
Blood -- Choosing this spec gives you the following: Blood Rites, Plate Specialization (Stamina), Vengeance, Veteran of the Third War. Changed spells are as follows:
Blood Rites -- Now only works for Death Strike
Veteran of Third War -- Now only affects dodge and stamina
Improved Blood Presence -- Increases rune regen speed while in Blood Presence and you can no longer be critically hit
Frost -- Choosing this spec gives you the following: Blood of the North, Frost Strike, Howling Blast, Icy Talons, Plate Specialization (Strength). Changed spells are as follows:
Frost Strike -- Now costs 15 less runic power
Howling Blast -- Now adds Frost Fever
Icy Talons -- Now only affects you
Hungering Cold -- No longer available
Unholy -- Choosing this spec gives you the following: Master of Ghouls, Plate Specialization (Strength), Reaping, +15% Unholy Might (down from 25%). Changed spells are as follows:
Unholy Aura -- Gives a 10% Attack Speed bonus to all raid members
Festering Strike -- now affects Chains of Ice
Sudden Doom -- now also makes Death Coil 20% cheaper to cast
Ebon Plague -- now only affects physical vulnerability
Improved Unholy Presence -- now adds more attack speed and allows haste to increase rune regen
