Internet Server Problems need HELP

Hi,

I'm new to the Battlefield Arena. I've played single player a bit, but neither my Battlefield 1942 or Vietnam will connect to any online servers. I click on multiplayer, I can see different servers, but it just won't connect.

Does anyone know how I can trouble shoot this? It's my friends computer, so I don't know everything about it off the top of my head. Could it be a Firewall issue?

1st make sure that you restart your computer after installing because sometimes games will not work properly if you don't restart.

2nd (if that doesn't help) go to the EA games website for whichever battlefield you are playing and download there latest patch and install that onto your computer.

If that doesn't help it might be your firewall which is blocking your connection (go to your firewall settings [if you use Winders XP version] and unblock the programs
 
I'll get the patch. Right now I just went out and bought the BF2. I'll let you know if I ever get the old versions up and running.
