Interest from our 60s in running regular weekly UBRS runs ...

Ok, I have waited many many many moons to finally be able to ask this question :) We have 17 - 18 60s now with a couple of more high level 50s to hit 60 by month end. What I would like to gauge is the interest level in running UBRS on a weekly basis. This would be guild only, not SGA unless I feel we are short on experience. I am not overly concerned about having 15 ppl as I know from gaming with you guys that most of our seasoned 60s are solid and are in top form. I am more then willing to take 13, maybe even 12 into UBRS. What I need to know from my 60s is, does this interest you? If so, what day works best for you? Plan on making 2.5 hours available, certainly until we all get a chance to work together as a unit. Thoughts? Comments?

UBRS always interests me. I want the Eye of Rend, and the chance of an Ace of Beasts or a Pristine Hide of the Beast...? Plus, I find it to be a profitable run (!) and also quite a bit of fun!

Let's give it a try. Blizzard says it is designed for 10 ... so we are set! Let's set a date and 2.5 hours aside and see what happens!

Last night 7 of us cleared almost to rend....

I would love to do this. However, my schedule conflicts with doing SGA stuff. Usually, I am only available for instance runs SUN-MON-TUE nights, sometimes WED.

I would definitely be up for this.

I can probably make time whenever, however Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are best.

I would definitely be interested in running a weekly UBRS. I think the profitability is good and at the present time I require a few drops for my devout set there. I'm also interested in the dreadmist set which also drops a few pieces in there as well. I'm sure in a guild run my chances of rolling on dreadmist are a lot better considering it's really designed for Warlocks.

Any weeknight is good for me. Weekends are a little tougher to make myself available regularly since I have no work and it's usually time for me to catch up on chores and general life stuff.

I would also be interested. Nailing down a weeknight would be best for me. Weekends tend to be loaded with family and/or church stuff. We had a great test run this past Wednesday night and I think we can certainly pull this off as a guild.

Our test run of 7 went so well that I expect we could go with 10 60s. We had a lvl 56 with us that aggro'ed an extra room which caused us the only wipe but I hadn't instructed him to stay behind me so I take the responsibility of that one. We were also missing some of our veteran 60s like Shane, John and Connor. I think if we had them as well, we could have mopped the floor with good o' General D. What I need now is the days you can not run on. My idea is to start at 8:00 sharp (that means we are entering the instance at 8:00 not heading to the instance). I figure about 2.5 hours which means a 10:30 end. Seeing as we can take up to 15, I don't see a problem with having to turn anyone away from coming who is a 58+ (sorry Amoras, two more levels - gogogogo :). Ideally, it would be great to do a Friday evening run as I think that is when we have the most ppl. As I mentioned earlier, this is a guild run only, so its not open to invites to SGA. If we can not get 10 ppl, we will hold off for another night. uBRS is a great instance as it is a great training grounds for learning your role in the 20/40 man raids which some of you have not done many of yet. Plus I think it is a great way to hang together and lay the smack. Oh, the other is many of you have set pieces in there so its worth making regular trips in there.

If it will be a lvl 60 only run, I'll be able to go by the end of the month I'm sure. I should be up to lvl 55 tonight if everything goes as planned. I've been trying my hardest to grind/quest as much as possible to get to the magical number.

I look forward to having another shadow spec priest who can dual role, Zeb is slowly convincing me that I might actually enjoy playing with Shadow-spec'ed priests ;) Get to 58 soon! As a sidenote, I think the thing that drives me most batty is when a SS priest doesn't come out of shadow form to heal, much like a pally/druid who doesn't help with healing when things go bad. I look forward to being set straight ;)

The only thing that is going to set me back a little bit is that I have to work weekends now due to school. So my usual playing time all day on Saturday is going to be cut down to evenings.

I love doing damage, but I do realize that my job is a healer. Doing damage while in a group means that I will have to conserve my mana just incase I need to come out of shadow form. If I'm in a group of 5 or so and I'm doing damage, I'll mostly SW:P, wait a few for someone to gain enough agro, Mind Blast, wand, and that's it. That way while my SW:P is helping with damage along with my wand, I'm regening mana. Even while doing damage, my main role is and always will be a healer. However I think that is the best part of the game. I feel as if the entire group relies on me for survival and I absolutely love that part. :-D

Zebidiah the Holy priest will return one day. If by the time I get my mana pool up to 7000 or so and I feel I cannot keep up the heals relative to the damage being dealt to my party then I will be convinced to switch back. Right now I'm working with a mana pool of about 4660, 5400-5600 with raid group buffs. I find myself running out of mana too early to keep up with large battles. Once I get the devout robe, dropped by UBRS boss :) I will purchase the +100 mana to chest enchant and see where I stand. I also need 8 pieces to the devout set to get the +55 to healing. Right now I have 2 pieces. :( At least I have my prayer beads which increase my healing by 190 for 20 seconds.

Anyway, enough about my strategies as a shadow priest. Fridays at 8pm server time would be good for me if that is the current proposed time.

Ken and I would be interested in doing this also. I can do it pretty much any night, however, Ken would only be able to do it Thur, Fri, or Sat nights due to his work schedule.

Ok, so lets plan for the 27th of this month to make it our first official assault on UBRS. I will create an event using GuildAds so if you are interested in coming, please make sure you are running it and sign up to the event. I will mention this in our guild news when you first sign on to WoW as well. Oh, one other quick thing, we have moved the channel from "theforgiven" to "TF". If you have not yet done so, please make that change in GuildAds (right click the mini map icon, "Use Channel" -> TF).

Hmmmm ... well it looks like we have a toss up with either Monday or Friday. Both are fine with Anita and I. I noticed our two tanks can not make Mondays. Who else can not make Mondays?

I'm 1/2 way to lvl 56. I'm going to try my hardest to get to lvl 57+ before the date so I can go with you all. I would perfer Mondays but I can go on either day. The only day that I can not go 100% of the time is Wednesdays.

I saw in guild chat that Mondays and Fridays were the likely candidates. If Friday is chosen, I will most likely never be on a guild UBRS run other than spur-of-the-moment runs. Friday night is fairly set in stone as a work night for me, unless I call in :D (which would be very rare)

However, if the majority need Friday night, do not bend to the want of one guildie :) I am sure that there would always be a "Hey, we got x number of people on, let's do something!" And an UBRS run might then be born while I am around :) If it is to be Friday, so be it! This is just an FYI

I would like to make a suggestion that might make this a little easier. If everyone who wants to go makes 1 post and the only thing they write in the post be the days they CAN go, this might go a little better.

Days that I can go.
