Hunter pets on Maiden and Aran ...

Apparently based on much feedback on the Hunter forums, Blizzard hotfixed an issue with using pets on these two encounters which basically meant putting them away (prior to the hotfix). For the past two weeks, it is now safe to use them and according to the information I have, the pets are basically untouched (aside from consecration and the holy fire) on Maiden. I will be happy to see Shadow beating on the Maiden again on Tuesday.
 
This will definitely shorten the Maiden fight as my pet deals quite a bit of damage :)

Still better for those BM hunters.
 
One thing you need to remember, pets are on the bottom of the list when it comes to healing and cleansing.
 
With mend pet HoT + imp mend pet, I don't personally require priest healing, and I've always understood pets were low priority
