Ok, how to install a counter strike map so you can play it.
Go to the 2 places where all the maps on the GFC servers were downloaded from.
Csbannana go here: http://www.banana.nu/?section=viewlist.maps.maptypes.main.1
Type in the map to download, then follow the links (download link at bottom of page) this will go another page deeper, then select your download mirror and save it to any place. After that, extract the zip file, it HAS to be EXTRACTED, it will not work if its still ziped extract to any old place, doesnt matter.
For Thekingpin.net go here: http://www.thekingpin.net/maps.php
Simply type in the map you want and search it, then hit download. Save to any old place. Then extract the zip file to a specific location. *note*kingpin does not need to be manually installed*
follow this sequence of folders and files;
c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike **may be subject to change depending on where you installed steam**

For csbannana, here we go:
Extract it to a folder, open the folder. Inside there might be 1 file or a bunch.
mapname.bsp goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike>maps
something.tga goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike>gfx>env
something.wav goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike>sound>ambience or map name
something.mdl goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike>models
something.spr goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike>sprites
somthing.bmp goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike>overviews
something.wad goes: c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike
*note* folders named Podpot, real bot can be deleted, files name other than the ones mentioned should be deleted like .tmz, .nav, .res etc
Some maps for csbannana are already in folders, just copy the folders to; c drive>program files>valve>steam>steamapps>your steam account name>counter strike> cstrike
Go here, to find out information for downloading all 3500 maps in a Bittorrent file download, its 4gigabytes worth of maps, it extracts to about 10gigabytes http://www.cgalliance.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9553 all ready edited and rebuilt archives (i spent weeks doing this, and about 48 hours or more, rebuilding and rezipping the maps, you will need winRAR to extract those)
