once upon a time, I came and the bad guys didn't live so happily ever after. or live, for that matter. the end.
 
True story....but a sad one. An indictment of a world that has for the most part rejected Jesus. I was in the Underworld with a four man trapper team. These were all guys unknown to me.

We had just spawned and began laying our first set of traps. One of the others pulled and the bulls hit the traps. The result was less than the desired result and at least one bull lived and killed one of the trappers.

When we finally dispatched the bull, one of the guys typed in the GD cussword. I typed back and said "Please clean up your language." One of the other trappers (this was in my pre-SoE days) also typed in "Yeah, dont use the nasty words next to God's name."

I was ecstatic to have found a like-minded ally. What came next is what saddens and infuriates me to this day. The trapper who had typed in the GD word said "God is dead." While I was formulating a response the 4th trapper who had been quiet up until that time, typed in "God sucks."

Well in all my years I have never heard that in reference to God. It will make your blood boil. Several responses went thru my mind.....none of them Christlike.

Finally, without typing a reply I just mapped to another city. I could certainly understand how Jesus overturned the money-changers tables in the temple long ago.

In hindsight, I am glad I handled it that way. A war of words would have not served a useful purpose because I don't think I could have held my temper. And how was your day?
 
Wow... and I don't mean World of Warcraft, either. :( That IS sad... I don't know if I could have contained my anger, but you did a very good job.
 
As many of you know, the Bible tells us that before we were saved, we were dead, slaves to sin/Satan, and enemies of God. You only have to group with unsaved people a little bit to see this. It might be subconscious to them, but cursing with the Lord's name is good evidence that they are enemies of Him.

But, praise be to God that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. While we were still enemies of His, dead, and slaves to Satan, He made us free, alive, and now we are His children with access to the throne. He did it for us and He will do it for those cursing His name. It just takes someone to bring the Gospel to these people, because through hearing the Word that people can be saved.

When I have problems controlling my anger at unbelievers, I remember that I was in the same state at one time. I was once God's enemy and it was God's love that changed me, not a wise choice on my part or anything that I did. It was all God.
