I just wanted to put this in for everyone. I have been using a program called group calendar in sanc and now in Redeemed. It's a calendar mod that allows you to easily set up instances, raids, b-days. Whatever you want. You can choose levels for the instances you want, what class you want, time it starts, and it's pretty darn easy. It will also start to remind you if you have an instance coming up. I feel that it would be great for some of you who are like me and don't want to spend an entire day looking for a group. You prefer to use your time more wisely. Just a thought for everyone.

The link is: http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/downloads/29244/

Instructions to set up:

1. Download and install the mod into your interface directory.
2. Make sure the mod is enabled when you log in.
3. After you log in you will notice that your little sun and moon next to your mini map will be a analog clock. That is the mod. Click on it
4. Go to the bottom of the window. Click on setup
5. Change the automatic to manual.
6. Check the channel to use as guild. (don't worry, doesn't interrupt guild chat or anything)
7. Lowest rank to show mediation
8. And click on connect or apply

That should be all you need to do. After that you can put anything you want on the calendar and everyone can see it. Might help a few people out.

P.S. You have to do the setup for each character you have and give it 5 minutes to update each time you log on or after making changes. It will connect and update on it's own, but I recommend checking it every now and then too.

I liked this mod. Will work nicely if a majority of people download it. You won't be able to see what's going on if you don't download the calendar mod!

I like Group Calender, it works if most people actually use it. But, if only 5 or 6 use it, it fails miserably.

I forgot to mention, the easy set up Group Calender is available only if somebody with the ability to change the Guild Information installs it. What happens is GC sets the channel name and password at a specific line in the guild information tab, then when a non-officer installs it, and check "Use guild channel", it checks the guild information for the channel and password. Makes setting it up a snap.

I need to reload a few more times with this mod on and off to make sure. But I ran it for the first time last night and simultaneously had the worst frame-rates I have ever experienced in the game. Anyone else notice this when running it?

I've heard and read that it is a resource hog and people have had issues, but I've never experienced any of the lag or frame rate issues people talk about having. Given that this tool is probably something Blizzard should've included, but didn't, and somebody had to write it third party, I'm not suprised by the love - hate relationship people have with it.

Yeah, when we first started encouraging its adoption in Sanctification I was concerned about the resource hog issues but you've the first to mention it that I know of, Mirakle. Synchronization issues were more our problem because at first we were trying to use a TE data channel with a password ... when we dropped that and just went to intra-guild the syncs seemed to go relatively smoothly too.

Maybe it's a Macpatability issue? Or, hopefully, just bad luck last night.

yeah could be the mac thing, never know. Like I said I will do some more tests when I can get in game next.

I hope it was a fluke thing, cause the mod did look sweet and I could really use the reminders of when my Cloth cool-downs are up as well as the other handy features.

so before i download it does it make Macs lag? cause i have a mac and atm my UI is pretty good not lagging much at all. but i had to set some stuff so it would work...so do u have to do that with this to?

nvm it works really well on mac...i ahvent been in battle or anythign but so far so good thanks for the idea! it will help alot i think

The only issue I knew of was a raid that got cancelled in the am by the person running it and it didn't update everyone else by the evening so we all were looking for him to start the group....since it was still on the calendar.

Just wanted to note that there is a new version of group calendar out. Ver. 3.2.3. I noticed that most of you are way outdated on the version so if ya wanna keep using it please update. That's all.
