I can't say I'm surprised. The theory behind Conquest sounds fantastic, but it's reasonable to assume that it will take a few months to approach any kind of equilibrium.
Even if Massively gave Conquest a glowing review, though, it would be irrelevant: No employment means no monthly subscriptions means no pay-to-play MMOs until I get a job.
Until then, I'm waiting for the start of Allods Online open beta, after which characters will not be wiped. After I'm employed, I plan to re-activate my WoW account 5-10 days before the release of Cataclysm to participate in any pre-release world event.
Even a few days after Global Agenda's release, it's clear that my slow leveling and more casual pace and the game's level treadmill (which, to be fair, ceases to be a concern at level 30) is going to keep me out of Conquest even during the free 1-month trial of the expanded game.
I don't think Global Agenda is a game you could play casually and really enjoy, but I could be mistaken. I enjoy the game, but there are better pure FPS games (i.e. Team Fortress 2) and better pure MMO experiences.
I'm definitely still up for joining an agency and grouping with other Tribe of Judah members. Our DDO guild proved that we can have an informal but casually active guild without an established chapter.
