Giving away 3 games. What should I give away and why?

I've been very active in TF2 trading for a long time. Made a fair bit of profit but the fact that I've always tried to be fair in my dealings and never make profit from a fellow Christian or Clanmate means I haven't made as much profit as some people have. I've also given away a pretty fair amount of stuff. About a year ago I realized that trading and making a profit was starting to be more of a goal for me than playing. I was even starting to try to turn profit from people I said I wouldn't make a profit from so I quit trading full time. I sold almost everything I had and gave a bunch away as well. I still trade a bit from time to time using outpost and steam market but not with any real effort for the past year. I've made more profit the past year not trading and giving stuff away than I did during my full time trading.

I now find myself with a steam wallet holding almost $500 (the max it can hold) and a desire to continue giving back. I feel God has blessed me for giving to others and so it's time to step it up a bit. I'm not doing this to get more blessings (although I won't tell God no if He wants to work it that way). I'm doing this because I have been blessed. So I will be giving away 3 games with only one condition attached. I will not tell you what that condition is but it must be met in your post for me to give a game away. God has laided this upon my heart to show others the Generosity that has been shown me. I just need to know who to show it to.

So tell me, what game I should give and why. Games will be gifted thru steam on Feb 14th to the first 3 people to meet my unnamed condition. Good luck and God Bless.

However, Everyone who participates (or even reads this thread) can receive a free copy of Team Fortress 2 by going here ---> http://store.steampowered.com/app/440/?snr=1_7_15__13
and clicking install. If you already own a copy you will not receive a second copy but everyone is invited to ToJ's TF2 Tuesday night celebration!
*(Desperado not included...)

I agree with you. I'm waiting for it to go on sale before I buy it for myself.

But what I'm really looking for is why should the person who gets the game receive it. I need game names but the Why is what's important for this giveaway. Unless your saying you should get Stanley Parable because it's a really cool game then just ignore my ramblings completely.

I couldn't think of why you should give me a game. Even if I could, I don't really have any games I particularly want right now.

Instead, you should find someone that actually cannot afford a game (as in someone who just doesn't have the money - not someone who is too cheap to buy something like me) and bless them. I think that would be way more cool than giving a game to someone who can already purchase a game.

Kerbal Space.... it teaches. I like teaching games, and I just had to pay for gas with change.

or...better option,

Give Minecraft (im not sure its in steam?) to some young people you know that would benefit. Its like legos, but better.

But, you can buy a gift card that will allow them to buy it for the platform of their choice I believe (console or PC).

I had minecraft "gifted" to me years ago. I'm sure its still possible....(but is checking now)

It is still possible to get minecraft for another \o/

You can purchase Minecraft once, and its good on either platform (Mac or PC).

The other platforms you will need to repurchase it (PS3, XBOX, Android, iOS)..

As I said in my original post, I have Steam wallet funds. If you show me how to buy it thru Steam, I will gladly make it one of the 3 games i purchase (or all 3). But last time I checked (yesterday), Minecraft was not available on Steam.

I would like to humbly offer that you extend your gracious giving of DayZ to my steam account, ewoksrule. A real life friend (who is also in ToJ) has been asking me to play this game with him for years as the Arama2 mod and now that there is the standalone he asks me even more. I have not picked it up yet because I am too frugal with my monies for games and won't spend the money just for a social gesture. However, if it was gifted to me , I am sure I would play it with him on multiple occasions and enjoy the fellowship of cooperative gaming with my brother in Christ.

You are correct, it is not available on Steam. I was merely stating that you could purchase it once and play it on either a Mac or PC. :)

As much as I would love a free game, I couldn't justify taking one from another who really couldn't afford it. :) I hope you find the right ones to give them to. :)

Probably a lot of people here have kids/pre-teens, it might be nice to gift a bunch of them something multiplayer, fun & fairly kid-friendly to encourage them to play together online in a safe environment. Some of the first games that come to mind are Torchlight 2 (which has an option to turn off blood from monsters), Dungeon Defenders, Sonic All Stars Transformed (kart-racer), Snow (early access), Marvel Heroes (F2P, but has some packs available for purchase), Lord of the Rings Online (F2P, but I think it has starter pack options & expansions, Landroval server has a large Christian guild called Band of Hope), Blockland, Starbound (nice Minecraft alternative), Forge Quest, Fortresscraft, etc.
EDIT: re-read this and saw that it was specifically 3 games you want to give away:
You could also look up people in our Steam group, and browse their wishlists, and do some drive-by game gifting: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tribeofjudah#members

Just a little bump.

Drive by gifting is great. I've done it in the past and will probably do it again in the future. For this however, I'm asking you to come up with the game and the reason it should be given.

I can't think of any reason why I should have any game. haha. My daughter and I already have plenty of multiplayer games for spending time together gaming.

So, are you looking for something like this?

I've got a friend who lives in Sochi. Would you gift him a copy of Hacker Evolution? That way, when I come and visit him, he'll be too busy hacking virtual computers to worry about breaking into my phone.

OR

Would you gift my friend, Mr Owen Bahma, with a copy of Democracy 3? I'd like him to learn a bit about how that kind of political system works ;)

Are these the kind of suggestions you're looking for? These are intended to be humorous examples, but the correlation between the gift and the recipient is what I'm attempting to highlight...

I think you should give copies of Critter Crunch to family members or friends so they can play 2-player co-op and versus modes together.

Why? Because Critter Crunch is a fantastic puzzle game, inspired in part by the Magical Drop series, that rewards quick thinking, fast reflexes, and strategic play. The game is relatively inexpensive (only $7 on Steam), very family friendly, the game art is gorgeous in 1080p, and the game is about feeding your kids by regurgitating rainbows.

Regurgitating rainbows.

A copy of Don't Starve and a copy of Spore Complete pack will be gifted to two people recommended by Gerbil in private messages to me.

The only requirement for this giveaway was that you name someone other than yourself to receive a game. Many people touched on this in various ways but only Gerbil named a specific person to receive a gift.
As I said in the original post, I've been very blessed and I believe it's because I've given away so much of what God's given me. I wanted to help others receive the same blessings that come from giving to others else as well.
Most hit upon the idea of helping others but only one went the extra step to do good instead of just thinking about doing good.

Thank you to all who participated and God Bless.

(It's been a rough couple of weeks and this week especially so if what I've said sounds mean or gruff, I"m sorry.)
