I have recently come to begin to understand Generational Curses? Does anyone know of a few good sites, documents, books or sermons on Generational Curses. Or what are your thoughts, insights, opinions on them?????
 
I think they are real and possible, but like with many things in life, we are sometimes quick to blame it on the curse, rather than our own choices.

IMO, if someone in a family has been involved in the occult, including Free Masonry and organizations as such, I think the probability is higher. Just remember though, that our God has conquered all.

I have read the book Blessing or Curse, You Can Choose by Derek Prince that was informative.

I am going to interject something that maybe completely off base and wrong.

My understanding is that there is only one generational curse effecting everybody, and that is that of original sin. Dealings my great grandfather may have had in some occult only affects his relationship with Jesus, not mine. Unlike in the Old Testament, before the blood of the Lamb, this sins of the father passed down for seven generations.

I believe Jesus made things personal again.
 
:eek: Interesting observation but I found some things on line about it that says we still have rules in the spiritual realm that effect us thru blood lines:

I am still studying but I would have to say you are almost right, The blood of Jesus covers us, but there is a difference between a believing Christian and an obedient Christian, ....... Even the demons believed in Christ

This Site deals with generational Curses and sexual addiction. Its a good breakdown of curses and opression/bondage of the enemy. Its called Porn-Free. A very good site it you are having challenges in this area!

I was hesitant posting the porn-free site but it is filled with some outstanding resources if some you know is under that bondage. Its proably one of the biggest problem areas facing male christians face. But thats not the reason I posted it. I posted it because it explains how generational curses work and effect us!!

Now I do not want to get off topic here, or digress into detail the problems of porn, I want to stick ith the topic of Generational curses

if any one has anything on Generational curses please let me know!
 
There are a lot of different types of generational curses. The principle behind it lies in a relative being involved in or with something that is not of God. If these behaviours are not changed, they can take root and carry down to other generations. In essesence, giving the enemy a foothole in a family.

Our God is the ultimate breaker of all curses, not only to break them, but to fill the holes that are left too.

Yes that is true. God can break any curse. He always wants us to walk in obedience to his word that helps us break those curses. Its funny how as you learn more of the Father, the more you see and understand his rules for existence and how being obedient brings you inline for all he has for us!
