I've been wondering guys, it seems that sooner or later in most topics the fact comes up that a few of us don't have many good friends. After seeing this pop up a few times, I figured I'd tickle my curiousity. Just be honest, and let me know how many people you have that you can actually call friends...not acquaintances or just ppl you know, but ppl that you are kinda close to and trust. Thanks!
 
I've noticed that our expectations are pretty high for friends. Well, not that our expectations are high. just that everyone I know's expectations are close to nil.

it gives me a slightly macabre sense of entertainment when I hear peoples' "friends" talk about them behind their back...
 
Friend sin high school are so hard to have...it's just better of not trying to have many. I don't have really anyone that I'm close enough to to call friends, but I have a couple...ha!! I actually feel closer to sum ppl in this clan than I do to many ppl I actually KNOW. Hmmm...very interesting.
 
Bleh Ive had it tough when it comes to having friends. Mainly because my dad works for the U.S. Navy so that means moving every so often. Its wierd, as soon as I even begin to form close relationships I get "Were moving" the very next week. Never fails. So i'm pretty used to being the "new kid" in a few different states.

Actually, its kinda funny. When I lived in Florida there was a goat farmer that lived behind us, and I would always feed one particular goat I named "Snowball" some left over dog treats that my dog would never eat. He gain thrity pounds that year that I fed him from what I heard. Snowball was my only real firend while I was living in Florida

Snowball. hee. that was the name of my third grade class gerbil that I got to take care of for the summer. phew. my room sure stank.

Shame, I cant vote in this poll. None wasnt a choice. Dont know how I got here, I just know I want out. Been outside of real life oh, 3 years now. I uh, wasnt actually kidding when I said I was looking for my sanity. Cant keep it together. Me is going to wallow in self pity now, forgive.

I certainly am able to count my RL friends on one hand. At the moment it feels like a flat zero too..

I think i will come to the states.. now if i bore some holes in a wooden crate and ship myself.....

 My dad decided to retire here in boring 'ol Omaha Nebraska. But hey, I may be going to San diego this summer for a youth trip.
 
err, san sandiago? did you misspell san diego or is that an actual place, seriously, I want to know. All these weird names of places are starting to bug me. San sandiago, hrmm, repetative! Yes, I am aware I probably just misspelled that...
 
I've gotta say guys, the results so far are exactly what I expected. In my life through high school, I found it very tough to make close friends. In college, however, when you're surrounded with people with similar goals and interests, it's been much easier. In fact I can say honestly that now I have like 6 or 7 very close friends. And a lot of it has to do with taking time off of CS to live a normal life. People are out there...you just gotta look.

Rizzo, I must say this, and I know it's going to be no consolation to you, but there is probably a reason you are single right now, and it's most likely not your fault. God's very much in control. And I think you know that
