Flying Machine vs. Flying Gryphon

I am an Eng, and was wanting to know what is easier and cheaper to get... I know the Gryphon is 900g, and I currently have 500g... So, which one?
 
It's not the gryphon that is 900 gold; it's the riding skill. You have to buy the skill before you can ride the gryphon or machine. I think the skill is like 890 or something like that. I know I'm off a bit on that cost but it's close. As to difference, nothing in speed but if you build the flying machine, you can later turn it into the turbo flying machine. Mats for the turbo machine are expensive if you don't have other high level toons to help collect.

These machines need pollution control though, so you might think of getting with your local gnomish mechanic and find out if there is anything that can be done about that. I'm thinking about filing a complaint with the flying machine department of engineers.
 
What about those mechanical chickens gnomes ride? Those things blow serious dark smog.

Of course some would argue that the largest contributor to green house gasses is Methane, which last I checked came from the back end of most horses and taruen.
