I started out early on in the Forgiven and left to join a larger guild. At the time the guild was smaller and is now called Eternal Keggers. I left EK for a midsize guild called Crimson Order, and I eventually was made GM. I then led a merger with Stehlen Life with our 12 60s and for the first time SL could field a 40 man raid. I stayed in SL for about 6 months and began to grow weary of the guild drama (i.e. Roniecoleman etc...).
While at SL, I was able to experience many server firsts. I was the first person on Terenas to become exalted with AD. I was there for many of the first kills in MC, including Raganos. I was good friends with Diseased and Drizzen and many others, even if they did not share my Christian values and outlook. When Drizzen became frustrated and stepped down as GM it was time for me to move on.
My WOW name is Demetrius, from 3 John. I am an associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Tempe and attend Phoenix Seminary. Demetrius was a man sent out by John as an evangelist to bring order between Gauiss and Diotrephes. He was a man spoken highly of and reflected the Word of God in his life. When I created my character I was helping a real life Gaiuss deal with a real life Diotrephes, so the name Demetrius means and meant alot to me.
In my former life, I worked for Intel for 14 years and have a BSEE and some work on an MBA. The kind of selfishness I saw at Intel is similar to the selfishness I saw in Stehlen Life. It is a "me first" and "at all costs" mentality. At Intel it dealt with promotions and raises and stock options. In WOW it dealt with loot and epic items and dkp. Many are wolves in sheep clothing, masters at disguising their greed and appearing as team players. While at Intel I dealt alot with Sega and their efforts to port games from their platform to the PC. I also dealt with many of the key gaming companies in the late 90s as we were interested in making their games run more efficiently on the PC platform. I worked in a marketing/sales/investment capacity rather than a technical or programming capacity.
Both are learning experiences for me ... and have helped in discerning the spiritual condition of others ... which is a key part of ministry. I could go on about this ... but mankinds behavior remarkably resembles the behavior of those described in the bible since the time of Adam! Imagine that!
I have storage alts called Gaiuss and Antoich (like Antioch, for they were called Christians first in Antioch). I also have 2 storage alts called boonmage and boonsuki (boon is the reverse of noob lol). Boonsuki is named after my good friend Jasuki, the former uberest priest of Terenas besides Malcolm of course.
So, now you know a little about me and the story behind Demetrius. My life verse is Acts 20:24. Look it up!
