I am heavy into co-op gaming...rarely picking up anything that isn't a co-op game. Really, I just don't have as much time to play as I used to and prefer to play with others where possible. If you're like me, you've likely been tricked into buying games thinking they were co-op because they said "two players" on the back.
Co-optimus is a site that reviews games solely on the co-op aspect, and breaks them down to let you know:
ESRB: The ESRB Rating of the Game.
Local: Only one copy of the game required.
Online: Co-Op over the internet supported.
Split: Split Screen play available.
Split Online: SS play w/ Online Players.
LAN: LAN or System Link Play.
DiDo: Drop-In/Drop-Out.
CSC: Co-Op Specific Content.
SPC: Single Player Content in Co-Op.
Publisher: Who Published the Game.
Release Date: Release Date.
Rating: User ratings for the game.
Anyway, I'd highly recommend checking this site out for PS3/PSN games (or whatever, really) that you are interested in to see if they are really what you're looking for.
