Bible Study

Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
We are going to try a new mid-level Bible study. Due to this being a little more meaty than usual we will hold it on Team Speak so full comments may be used. The first study will be on Prayer, a short 7 week run through the basics of Prayer. Prayer is one of those frequently misunderstood and misused items of Christian life. We will look at it's importance, and see what the Scriptures say about it. We are looking at Sundays at 9pm Eastern time, starting this Sunday 12 September, 2010. If a majority of people pm me and say that isn't possible we can change it, but once set and started, for consistency it will stay put. So dust off your headsets and microphones, update to TS3, get dialed in and get ready. See you Sunday evening.:)

For those who check everything on a daily basis, yes it is in Alliance Bible Study forum too. I am simply trying to get the widest base of information out there. Thanks Ursen

Thanks for the reminder. I should be home. But I need to buy a new headset. Could you please direct me to or send a PM to the TS info for the guild?

All went well we started with 4, maybe next time there will be more. We started our study with the nuts and bolts of prayer. We will continue with that theme next week. We even got given homework, akkkk no. But it will be pleasant and beneficial homework hopefully.

That was really great. Ursen you have a wonderful voice and it's really great to have a godly man leading.

See ya next week!

Sorry I missed it. Wanted to be there... chaos broke out in the house just at the time it was gonna start. Go figure.

Glad it was good. Hopefully, I'll get in next time.

We had company for dinner so I couldn't break away. Can you post the homework so we can keep up if we can make it next week?

Go to http://www.acts17-11.com/prayer.html, first lesson Lord's Prayer. Take 5-10 mins praying the prayer and meditate on each line. Also look at the various names for God and the appropriate scriptures. Easy, pleasant and profitable. I'm a hard taskmaster. ;)

Ursen did a great job leading the Bible Study yesterday. I did take into account the Lord's prayer when I prayed this morning. Yes that website is very informative. Nice find Ursen :)

Ok no one showed up, is this a bad day or time for it? Horton stayed for 30 mins and did the study himself. So we may move on to part 3 next week.

Sorry I missed it again. Had to make dinner for the fam. It's 6PM out here for the planned meeting time, and that's kinda right at dinner. Were I off on my own or something, I'd just change my schedule around, but it'd seem kinda silly to me to blow off family time (my dad usually works until 5-6PM on Sundays) for in the name of a Bible study (something along the lines of missing the point... not wholly unlike giving my money away and leaving none for my parents in need). A different time (almost any other time) would make it a lot easier for me to be there.
