So, once I got my 360 back a few months ago, I set up my WMP 11 to share videos to it... However, I could not get MP4 files to show up in their folders on the xbox yet they showed up in my library... I then installed K-lite codecs which completely fixed that problem and I did not have that problem anymore...
Well... I reformatted my computer recently, and just set back up the sharing...and...no MP4 files...then I was like...oh yeah, K-lite codecs... So, I installed K-lite codes...still no MP4 files... grrr... So I did some research and did a few things that were said to do on certain sites, and they were all things I never had to do to get it working before, but after doing safe things listed on every website...I still cannot get MP4s to show up on my 360...AHHH!!!...
Please help...
EDIT:I do have other options, I am sure TVersity or Orb would get it to work, but running yet another program in the background is something I do not want to do...
EDIT 2: Also, I wonder if my old XP was MCE and this one is not would make a difference...
UPDATE: After putting the MP4s on a flash drive and connecting the flash drive to the 360, they worked just fine, so it seems to be an issue with WMP...
UPDATE 2: I went ahead and tried it using TVersity, and found out now TVersity can play most MKV files now...not all but most...so actually using TVersity helps me quite a bit... Now I can stop transcoding all my Anime...hehe...
