Well, I got an email from Blizz that my account has been hacked. 9 years of MMO's and it finally happened. Not sure when I'll be back.
 
I have one around here some where. I never put it on because when I got it I was allowing my ex-wife to use my account (we were togather). Anyways I got my comp cleaned up today.
 
Wait you said you got an email saying you got hacked right? when i got hacked i never received an email from Blizz until i did an inquiry. I know that there are a bunch of hackers
sending out tons of Phony emails, so this might be one of them, in which case your not hacked yet.
 
Nope, it was legit. It was from blizzard.com. It wasn't an email saying "Your hacked" it was two emails, first one saying "password reset" and the second was informing me I had recieved a temporary ban for voilation for the ToS. I was able to log in tonight. Unfortunately all my characters have been for the most part striped. Atleast they didn't take the time to destroy all the tier gear as they have on some less fortunate players.

how do you know they were legit? Citgrad recieved emails saying the exact same thing, they were not legit but were sent out by a hacker. In cases like this, the only way to be sure is to call blizzard.
 
man.. i was hacked about a month ago.. Bro all i have to say is Authenticator.. i ordered mine IMMEDIATELY.. Also most of my stuff was restored.. Even my pets when i prompted blizzard.. Make sure you open a ticket if your missing items.. I know it feels really nasty when it happens.. but dont be discouraged.. i got most of my stuff back(couple of regular pets i didnt care about they didnt restore). And once u get an authenticator you will feel much better.
