Engineer is a really fun class to play. The race choice is purely cosmetic, but also affects your starting area and personal story for the first bit. I was playing a ranger as my main when I was playing GW2 in the summer and it was a blast.

I'm a big Civ fan and I noticed the Gold Edition (includes all the expansions and content thus far) is going for $12.49. If you bought the game and all the DLC individually outside of the sale, it would run you $105. The Gold Edition is normally $50. Definitely going to be on my buy list.

They most certainly do not make a habit of offering refunds. I bought the wrong edition of Guild Wars and I got extremely lucky and they refunded it (even knowing I had used the key), but stated that they do not usually do that.
