Not too shabby!

Plankeye - I had to send in for the 256 color games, not 16 color. My monitor didn't even support 256 colors back then. It was EGA!

I originally wanted to get the 9800 XT w/256 MB RAM, but couldn't bring myself to spend $500 at the time...who knows what it costs now. I'm done fighting this war with keeping up with the latest hardware. I'll just stick to my games that require DOS and 640 KB RAM and 16 colors...

ZoneAlarm works well. Kerio Personal Firewall does a great job too.

Well, you spelled the map name right, however......I think you know where I'm going with this! Anyways, usually exiting the game and even rebooting your PC will help resolve issues such as that most of the time. I'd also look at the CS forums to see if anyone else is experiencing the same...

Do you mean simply seeing us play more often? I admit, I haven't played CS in quite awhile but I've been taking care of certain responsibilities. Summer time is hard for me because I'm very active - I haven't dropped any responsibilities in leadership, but I just merely haven't played much CS...

I personally switched from NVidia to ATI due to the performance increases. The prices are somewhat comparable although ATI is a little more. I've got a Radeon 9800 Pro w/128 MB RAM and it seems to do fine for today's games. I'm anxious to see how it handles Doom 3 and HL2...
