    A Question for the masses...

No more so than Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, or perhaps more fittingly (in terms of "outsider" status with regards to the Roman Empire), Spartacus.

Thoughts on Donald Miller's "Blue Like Jazz"

I just finished reading Donald Miller's Blue Like Jazz not too long ago. It was an extremely interesting read for me. He's very anti-conformist in his thinking, and by "conformist" I mean hardcore mainstream conservative evangelical Jesus votes Republican thinking. Anyway, I was wondering if...

    Christian Denominations

I have to object about the inclusion of Seventh-Day Adventists. While they disagree on several fronts (Sabbath, Sleep until the return of Christ, etc.) with "mainstream conservative evangelical thinking", I don't think it's fair to boot them from "the Christian circle" any more so than it would...

    iGameBoy?

No, Nintendo isn't ripping off Apple yet again. GameSpot posted a story in its Rumor Control section involving Apple and its possible attempts to delve into the realm of videogames. Apparently they may have hired a former employee of LucasArts. Could a gaming enabled version of the iPod...

    X-Men 3

So how is the dialogue in the film? I keep shuddering everytime I hear Storm say "If you're going to be with us then be with us." in the previews.

How much would you be willing to pay for the Nintendo Wii at launch?

Many gamers consider The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to be one of the greatest games of all-time. Game Rankings.com has it listed as the top rated game of all-time. If you do pick up a Wii (or a N64 or GCN, for that matter), I would encourage you to check it out. It's an absolutely...

How much would you be willing to pay for the Nintendo Wii at launch?

I don't mind that the Wii won't be able to throw down with the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 graphically. I understand that Nintendo is taking the "disruptive" approach, and they believe that the pursuit of better looking videogames is at best futile at this point. As a representative for Nintendo...

How much would you be willing to pay for the Nintendo Wii at launch?

Nintendo cryptically announced today (News courtesy of IGN) that the Wii would retail for not more than 250 dollars, but they didn't set a firm price. Rampant speculation has ensued over the possibility of a 249.99 price tag. What does everyone think? Would you be willing to pay 250 dollars...

The PS3 is gonna be too much money...

As a way to sincerely express my regret that you took offense at my post, I will offer to pay your first therapy bill after you get your head checked. You seriously need to lighten up there.

The PS3 is gonna be too much money...

OK, anyone in here who is planning to drop 600 dollars on a PS3 (You'd be nuts to buy the 500 dollar version, because the 500 dollar version is even further apart from its more expensive brethren than the Core 360 is to the Premium 360) needs to do two things... 1. Get their head checked. The...

The PS3 is gonna be too much money...

I don't think they actually showed gameplay footage for Kojima's latest. Now granted, MGS 4 is a pretty safe bet to be an awesome game, but I think everything else failed match the "target videos" shown at last year's E3. Assassin's Creed is coming to Xbox 360, or I would probably committ...

The PS3 is gonna be too much money...

Why would you want one? Did you see the games shown at the press conference? The only game exclusive to the PS3 that looked good is Heavenly Sword. Oh, and here's a cool little comparison from IGN between the Wiimote and Sony's sloppy ape-job of Nintendo's idea.

    Time magazine leaks Nintendo news

That was just a concept video constructed for the Tokyo Game Show to show the possibilities of the Revolution controller. It's not like they're actually playing Revolution games in that video.

    Nintendo Revolution renamed

I think the "re-hash" effect is most promiment with Nintendo not because of age but because of quality. Think about it. If you look at Mario and Link (and to a lesser extent, Samus), they've appeared in several top flight titles. If you were to put a list together of the greatest video games of...

    Purchasing a used laptop

Thanks Taliesin, but I think I'm just looking for a notebook that can handle Office Applications and browse the internet without any difficulty. I'm not much of a PC gamer, so I don't really want to spend money for a computer with enough horsepower to make games look fantastic.

    Purchasing a used laptop

I think if I'm going to get a laptop I'll go purchase a new one instead. I'm looking at Dell's Inspiron E1705 and the E1505. I've never had a problem with Dell's computers, not one related to hardware issues anyway.

    Nintendo Revolution renamed

I'm going to show you some sympathy with regards to your delusional diatribe Tek. Undoubtedly, you've recently played Shadow the Hedgehog. Having to endure this type of "entertainment" could produce all sorts of raving lunacy. While I'd agree that many of Nintendo's "innovations" are just...
