I think it's a great game.  I beat it once, and I'm about to beat it again.  It does have some appropriateness issues, but they don't really bother me.  Mainly gore, but I don't really notice it.  I would've given it a higher overall score, but that's just me.  I'm not at all angry with Tolkein...

Same here. I never liked Xbox, but the price drop (and some greed...) convinced me to get one. Once I did, I loved it, and now it's my favorite console. Everyone hates on N-Gage before they try it. All the people I've heard from who actually bothered to get one have all loved theirs. Same with Xbox.

I think most USB keyboards/mouses should work.  USB headsets also work for certain games.  I don't think all games support keyboard/mouse though, but some shooters I know do.

And plus, I can't get it to work anyway lol. So I will be getting HL when I can.

If you want to get rid of them, you could try a local card shop. As for the game itself, I can't really comment. My parents have always thought it was bad, so I never played it. I don't know if I agree with them or not though, as I've never played it, nor had much experience seeing others play.

I'm pretty sure you can plug it directly into the modem. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to. I think you'll need a CAT5 cable, which is not included. I use a router for mine.
