I'm hoping to build a new one myself, soon...ish. Been looking at the 3770k. Did you go with the i5 for the cost savings? Or was it for a different reason? Would of course love to go with one of the new sandy's but man... expensive. The 3820 looks good to I'm just not that crazy about the 2011...

here's a little info on graphics drivers if your interested. The best atm for nvidia seems to be the 304.79 beta and the best for ati is 12.7 though both companies have said they are working on drivers to better support gw2...
Nice to see this. I have been having a blast in WVW. PvP was terrible in WoW unless playing on a good arena team. Can't wait to play with everyone in massive WvW battles. This is going to be epic!
I was thinking tailor/jewelcrafter for tricksy. Everyone should start cooking immediatly as you level for food buffs and all the cool dyes you can make (just fyi).
edit:link for the dyes http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chef#Dyes
With the am3 socket you could eventually get a phenom II x4 (which is about the best gaming cpu for that socket) and with the pci-e slot you could use the video card that blsimpson offered. I have buddy that had a phenom II he wasn't using (at least I think it was a phenom) I'll check and see...
Can you get a dual core Cpu for a 754 socket? I can't find one. http://www.guildwars2.com/en/services/faq has all dual cores listed under minimum requirements. Not sure how stringent that is, I do know the game supports multiple cores.
I feel your pain brother. Right now running a pc I built about 6 years ago. It has a core 2 duo and a gtx9500, which is good enough to run gw2 but only on the lowest settings. I'm posting guitars(have too many) and tools (that I don't use) on craigslist and classifiers to build a new pc. Kinda...
As far as i know gw2 already supports ts3 as part of the directX dialog. But that is just for showing members online. Ts3 voice should be a program external from gw2 and therefore not interfere with the user agreements. I could be wrong but I have not seen anything to the contrary.
