I think its time I start using a quality headset rather than using a dinky headset and having to swap between them and my Logitech z5300's.

So... do any of you all use higher quality headsets?

I have been looking at...

and

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104281

for starters.

I'd prefer USB, detachable mic, comfortable, good sound and not too heavy.

I'm tired of swapping between my good speakers and a dinky headset! <rant>

Do you like those big earphones?

Whats is your budget?

Couldn't these be more suitable?

My budget is around $100.

I don't want to go over $110.

In the past I have had bad luck with headsets... They break about a year into ownership.. So this time I want to try quality ones.

This deal may settle it for me in Logitech's favor... I have been looking into these mice for school work with my Netbook. See how small the USB dongle is!?!

That deal would be around $30 off.

I've always like my Tritton headset, though it wasn't the AX51. Too bad I broke them so I bought a par of these Teknmotion Pulsewaves, though they are discontinued it seems now. I seem to like them since I got them on sale for around 40 bucks compared to the 100-150 dollar trittons.

I also won't use small headsets anymore they get too uncomfortable for me and hurt my ears. The large headphones stay more comfortable.

I'm still saving to get these bad boys...

My wife and I both have one Logitech V450 Nano each. She uses hers every day while I swap between a trackball with my left hand for daily browsing, e-mail, and productivity, a MX518 with my right hand for gaming, and the V450 Nano with my right hand for when I'm not at home. (No, I'm not ambidextrous. I just learned to use a trackball with my left hand after searing pain in my wrist convinced me to stop using a mouse exclusively.)

The V450 Nano's USB receiver is super-tiny, the battery life is ridiculous, and I don't have to change any settings when swapping between pointing devices since all 3 devices (trackball, wired mouse, and cordless mouse) are all made by Logitech and supported by Setpoint.

As for headsets, I have this: PLANTRONICS .Audio 480 3.5mm/ USB Canal Stereo Headset. I just learned now the item is now deactivated on the Newegg site. If I remember correctly, it was on sale for $15 during Newegg's Black Friday sale. It's excellent for notebook computers, but I imagine it wouldn't be nearly as nice on a desktop computer because of cord length.

I bought these about a month ago and they have been doing well. The only thing I don't like about them is that the volume control is far enough down the cord that it can easily get snagged on the chair or other inconvenient surface.
