Wooot... got a chance to listen to John Piper speak live the other day. He was in my town and I heard u guys speak highly of him, so I had to go check him out. :)

Anyways, he was talking about suffering and the christian life. He did a good job, he did a Q&A session with the audience after too, which was quite interesting. He kind of looks like a Canadian politician we had up here and I didn't know he wrote so many books. :)
 
Piper is great! :) I have all of his books, oh wait I have ALOT of books anyways, 1500 plus volume library...anyways, I guess that comes with being in ministry. You can podcast his sermons or download them from www.desiringgod.org ENJOY!!
 
I went to his church for a while when I was in college. Great preacher. But sometimes he'll preach almost word for word with his books. One Sunday he started preaching and I said to myself, "boy that sounds familiar..." I got back home to realize I had just read a chapter of one of his books for class.
