I got that error earlier today, but now it's okay.
WON servers down?
 
Just hit retry if you get a server verification failed error. Actually you have to type retry in the console but thats not too difficult now is it? Generally it works the second time round.
 
actually typing retry is incrediably hard for me, my console is broke, has been for about 2 months, ne1 know how to fix it?
 
As far as I know you need to "turn it on"...it's not really broke. On your CS shortcut you need to add the command "-console" to the end of the target.

-Right click on the CS icon
-Click 'Properties'
-Click in the target text box, go to the end
-Enter '-console'
-Click 'Apply' or 'Okay'

That should solve it. Otherwise..uninstall it and then re-install it. I would save your maps dir with all the maps you've downloaded...it will save you some time.
