(Apologies for being late on this post)

"How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?"
-Psalm 4:2 (NIV)

Today's post will be short.

This verse shows pretty well why I tend to dislike quoting single verses outside of the entirety of the chapter, as the entire message of Psalm 4 is difficult to glean from one verse, and for this reason I encourage to dig out your Bible and read this chapter for yourself. However, In Psalm 4:2, David is reminding us the many false gods that exist in society that we end up worshiping over God. In his time, this would have referred more so to the religions of Baalism and the like (and the many gods that were worshiped under it), but we must remember that this is still applicable today. Anything that we idolize and place over God can become a false god, such as fame, money, sex, and much more.

Try taking some time today to read some of the praises of David in Psalms. : )

No apology necessary - that happens.

Thanks for a great verse - very timely here at Christmas.
