Now then, my sons, listen to me;
pay attention to what I say.
Do not let your heart turn to her ways
or stray into her paths.
Many are the victims she has brought down;
her slain are a mighty throng.
Her house is a highway to the grave,
leading down to the chambers of death.
(Proverbs 7:24-27)

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good time getting geared up for Christmas (my college break officially started yesterday, so I know I am!).

Today's verse is a bit of wisdom from King Solomon regarding sexual sin. In this passage a man is seduced by an adulterous woman (to whom the verses refer to), and Solomon reminds us that taking part in such a relationship leads away from our path to God.

This particularly strikes me because, as I am getting into my first ever dating relationship, I have to constantly remind myself of what God wants with my life and how I should keep my heart and mind pure. While I'm not getting into a relationship with an adulterous woman, the lesson learned from this chapter is that "it takes two to tango", so the man was obviously at fault as well for his encounter. I pray daily for God's guidance during this time and pray that those of you to whom this passage might feel appropriate would do the same.

God bless!
