IThe dailies give you a way to make an easy 12-60g per day during a pretty brainless 60-90 minute span (probably faster if you're not a newb like me). The theoretical limit of the daily quests is actually something like 120g per day (each daily quest yields at least 12g and you can do up to 10 a day), however, half of them are Netherwing quests that require Epic Flying (e.g. 300 riding skill) ... so that doesn't help most of us. The description below focuses on the Skettis (Terrokar Forest south of Allerian Stronghold) and Ogri'a (western part of Blade's Edge Mountains) quests. One of the best things about these is except for one, there is no significant mob-killing involved ... so these are just as easy to grind if you're a healer or tank as for a high-dps toon.
Here's a good reference list of all the quests and links to the quest chains and prereqisites... my more detailed low-down follows.
WoWWiki: Daily Quests
A) THE SKETTIS DAILIES
There are two, and they don't have substantial prereqs besides showing up in Skettis. Just talk to the quest givers who are at the northern edge of Skettis, high above Allerian Stronghold.
1) SKETTIS FLYING - EASY, MINIMAL PREREQS, ONE-A-DAY: Quest: Fires over Skettis is the "egg-popping" quest in Skettis that is just the gold giveaway. The only substantial prereq is having a flying mount and to talk to the questgiver dude next to the Shattrath Flight path for a quick prereq... besides that just show up to Skettis, fly around, and collect your gold. You can often take our 2-3+ eggs with one well-placed bomb so getting to 20 is really quick. Not that this quest really requires tips, but my learnings are:
a) If you die in mid-air, you sometimes can't get close enough to your corpse to rez. The workaround is to have someone BG queue you ... you get an auto-rez that once the BG pops. When you exit to BG, you exist at the spot where the person queues you, so that's the one downside ... but for me at least, way way better than the cost of the durability hit.
b) To minimize chances of the birds killing you, wear your stam gear ... and it's often quickest to escape but just flying straight up as you can fly out of the birds' range and lose aggro.
1A) SKETTIS ESCORT - HARDER, NO PREREQS, REPEATABLE: Also in Skettis, there is an escort quest Quest: Escape from Skittis. This quests yields the 12g plus a choice of 2 midrange healing or mana pots. The problem with it is that it tends to be way more camped than the flying quest, and you are much more likely to be ganked. It can also take awhile to fly around Skettis trying to find one of the three spawn spots for the prisoner that you escort.
B) THE OGRI'LA DAILIES
These are much harder to get access to. They start in Shattrath City, and involve a relatively lengthy chain of quests that are a mix of easy solo quests and pretty difficult 5-man group quests where you kill "Son of Gruul" bosses. Think Durn the Hungerer, over and over. Anyhow, the good news is that doing the chain nets you 200g+. The bad news is that, as mentioned, you need a solid group of level 70s players and even then, it's a few hours of playing. I had luck getting a team together on a Sunday afternoon, and I know some other guildies have had luck then too. DO NOT EXPECT TO DO AN LFG AT 9 PM ST ON A TUESDAY AND HAVE PEOPLE RUNNING TO COME HELP YOU. They'll probably either be unfamiliar with the questline (and not want to do a quest they don't have) ... or they'll be familiar with the questline and know what they're getting in to and not want to commit to the several hours of playtime. It's like recruiting people to run an instance ... except that since there are no non-quest drops from it, you need to find 4 other people who haven't run it (or who are utterly giving souls). Be prepared to help people from the very start of the chain, so they can catch up to you. Also, don't disband your gruop until you have all picked up these three quests since more 5-mans are intermingled with the solo quests:
i) Wrangle More Aether Rays
ii) The Relic's Emanations
iii) Bombing Run
2) OGRI'LA DAILY 1: SKYGUARD RAY FARMING - EASY, BIG PREREQS.
This quest Quest:Wrangle More Aether Rays%21 Simple quest, just take the mob down to <=20%, then hit the lasso item and then it flies around with you. You get quest credit then, don't even have to take it back to the quest-giver. Just repeat 4 more times. Only hard part to avoid killing the mobs (watch out for DOTs when the mob is anywhere close to 20%), and to avoid aggroing other mobs accidentally. Rewards are 12g plus 15 Apexis shards. This quest is in the Skyguard area. I usually do this quest first because it gives a guaranteed 15 shards so I have one to use for the next quest.
3) OGRI'LA DAILY 2: OGRI'LA SIMON SAYS - EASY, GOOD BUFF
Quest: The Relic's Emanation This is one of the weirdest quests in the game. Go to one of the formations of crystals that is like 4 little crystals around one big crystal. Kill one of the little demons and stand on a little crystal, and click on it and start the quest (you need a shard). It then starts flying lights. You have to repeat the pattern that gets flashed to you. The sequence grows longer and longer, from 1 up to 7. After 7, the quest is complete. That's it. Note that as you do the quest, you'll get a SLOWNESS debuff, it wears off quickly after you stop playing simon says. Awesome trick for this from Arakuis: to remember the sequence, as the lights are flying record them as a "say" tell (e.g. /s). So if the sequence is Red-Red-Gree-Yellow-Blue .. just type "/s RRGYB" so then you just have to read it back and you don't even have to remember. Once the quest is done, you also get a buff that is a 15% movement speed increase ... which is useful for the next quest...
4) OGRI'LA DAILY 3 - FLYING:
This is another bombing-type quest ... Quest:Bombing Run. You can either do it in the northern "demon area" or the southern "demon area," makes no difference. Don't fly too high as you will get shot down sometimes. I've found the easiest thing to do is fly patterns between targets that keep you on the outskirts of the area ... you get take less flak fire that way and you're less likely to land in a bunch of mobs who aggro on you if/when you do get shot down. It helps to bob and weave and swerve and stuff, too. But once you've done this a couple of times, it's really not hard.
INTERLUDE
You get a pretty healthy amount of rep with both Skyguard and Ogri'la if you repeat the above quests. Some of them give both Ogri'la and Skyguard rep. After fewer days than you'd think, you'll be honored which means two good things:
a) At Skyguard honored, a new flight path opens between Skettis and Skyguard Post in Ogri'la. I think of this flight path as the "daily quest express." Log on, fly to Allerian Stronghold, do the Skettis daily, taxi to Skyguard post, do those dailies, hearth back to Shattrath City. It's a nice daily loop that minimizes travel time and has you in Shattrath in case you need to port to Stormwind to head to Kara or to hit the AH.
b) At Ogri'la honored, you get one more daily quest:
5) OGRI'LA DAILY 4: DEMON PORTAL ACTION
Quest: Banish More Demons. In this quest, you get a crystal doohickey that when you put an apexis shard in it, a portal is created. If you kill an Ogri'la DEMON near the portal, it gets sucked in and you're 1/15 of the way done with the quest. For a low-DPS toon, this quest is definitely more of a grind than the others. Avoid non-demon mobs since they'll just waste your time. This quest also leads to a complicated "possession" type quest that I frankly don't understand at all. But if you're a skinner, you'll get tons of leather doing this quest, running around cleaning up after non-skinners who kill the demon dogs for this quest.
Once you've got those 5 dailies at your disposal, that's 60g per day or 420g per week in a pretty easy, brainless, travel-time economical manner. Happy dailying to ya!
