"Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
The harvest is great the Lord tells us! Do we stop to consider what that really means? He didn't say the sowing is great, or the watering, but the harvest -- those souls who are ready now to come to Christ if they only had someone to show them the way.
It can be a daunting thing to contemplate going out and witnessing if we think ourselves responsible for the entire process of spiritually converting others, and we can make ourselves feel unnecessarily distressed or guilty by assuming too much responsibility for what ultimately comes down to a free will choice of another outside of our control. In reality it is God who does most of the labor and He just asks us to go forth to find His fruit and bring it in.
