it amazes me as to how much hair they lick off themselves and accumulate in their stomaches.

Now my question is...


Can you eat and / or digest hair? Your own hair, animal hair, etc.
And
Does the hair actually stay in there throat or stomach?

Judging from the hairballs which my cat vomits up on an obscenely regular basis, I'd have to say that it doesn't stay in their throat or stomach....

hairball control cat food does wonders for my two cats. I get one minor hairball a month or less between the both of them now.
