Wow! Sounds like things are really cooking there in the land of Warcraft. I'm impressed and glad to hear from you all. I do miss you and think of you all very often. You can always write to me personally whenever you'd like, and while I don't check and write email daily, I'll always be glad to keep in touch as I know you all love me to do. That includes you Icthuss and Odale. hehe. You don't have to wait for the game to spend time with me. You can do so now and share your hearts and lives and I promise to do the same.
While in church last Sunday, I was thinking of you. And a thought came to my heart that I wanted to share with you as its been something that's been on my mind for quite some time. World of Warcraft is a bit different from Albion as you cannot openly speak of Christ and it makes witnessing a little more difficult. Although I do realize that many of you don't play to witness, you should keep in mind that you are a witness by example at all times. This is the best way we can bring the light of Christ to these worlds, by being the light ourselves. I share this because I don't just think of you as friends, and I don't just think of this group as a family, but I think of you more intimately as a powerful and unique body of Christ. You are a church that is founded on the rock of Christ and built in a virtual land where no other church exists. You are a lampstand in the presence of the Lord, sent out to darkened territory to show others light. By doing so, you are bringing the kingdom of heaven to those who would not go out and seek it, and you are bringing the church to those who would not go to church. How do we do this without breaking the Terms of Service? How do we share Christ's light without saying the word Jesus?
Each of you have gifts given to you by God. Who are you? What is your spiritual gift? Don't say it here, but do it, be that gift. You feel you have the gift of leadership? Try to lead a raid. You feel you have a gift of compassion? Try to farm some area and help those who may need help. You feel you have a gift of encouragement? Go into frustrating areas and try your hand at encouraging your fellow players. You feel you have the gift of wisdom? Listen to the questions that newbies or people ask in the channel and try to help answer them. These things will make for powerful witnessing, and by your very example of love and peace and kindness and gentleness, and by your help, your selfless efforts, and your guidance, you will, by example, show these virtual worlds what it means to be a proud Christian without ever having to say the word Jesus.
But there is a catch you have to remember. And this is important. If you go and do something because you feel you have to, or you have to force yourself to do something, then stop. Forced efforts are not genuine, and will generally fail. Then, when you feel you've made the effort with no fruitian, it discourages you and you no longer make an effort. That's a trap Satan wants you to fall in and you must avoid that. When you perform your gifts, or try to be a light, do so from your heart and your own Christ-inspired desire. If you be like Cain, and offer your gifts because you feel you have to, it won't be fruitful. But if your heart leads you to offer your gifts because you so very deeply desire to, much like Able, then the Lord will bless your efforts and you will be fruitful.
So all in all, be yourself, seek your gifts, and pray that God help you in those gifts. God will provide the opportunity, till the ground of someone's heart, inspire you to act, then take the person away to tend to and toil in the garden He has created in that person. All you have to do is wait on God's signal, the act when inspired, and let God do the rest. You'll find yourself doing amazing things when you do.
Well, I just wanted to share my heart with you guys. Its certainly no Malohaut sermon, but its a word of God I felt important to share with you. So keep on in the word, keep on smiling, and take out a zombie for me. hehe. God bless you all, and I will keep in touch when I can. Chow for now.
