Warning about allakhazam (sp?)

Apparently there's a script on one of their ads that steals wow info :/. I think its limited to older IE version, so all you IE users beware...Good thing I don't use that site, never liked all those ads anyways. That's basically the reason I never make profiles of my characters. Scan and change your wow pass if you visit this site often .

yea i just asked the fool and he said he had visited the site earlier in the week. /slap

From what I hear they practically allow anyone to advertise on their site without checking codes or what not...apparently users have to get hold of admins on the site to fix it. This was fixed I believe but the damage to some folks is already been done

Appearantly they have pulled the offending adds, and have gone back to those advertisers looking for answers.

Download firefox. Follow the post seeker linked to in his message. The original poster on allakhazam listed out what he found. Search and destroy the trojan if you find it. And change your password:

I am sure glad they removed the offending ads. Allakhazam has the easiest to use XML interface for their data. I was planning on integrating it into the new Redeemed website currently in development and asking everyone to use their wowreader... Have to see how this pans out.
