Please STOP restacking what I unstack in the guild bank! Many times I will unstack items so that people can withdrawal them in lower quantities. The reason I do this is twofold:

1. Convenience for guildies: Ensures that guildies are not having to withdrawal a full stack of an item to get what they need, split the stack, and then having to redeposit the rest.

2. Abuse prevention and mitigation: Once an account is hacked, the hacker can only make a certain number of withdrawals per day (and we'll usually catch them the first day). Take abyss crystals for example. If the hacked account is allowed 3 withdrawals from the high mats tab, and abyss crystals are stacked in 20's, the hacker gets away with 60 abyss crystals. If they are left how I stack them, in 10s, or even 5s, the hacker only gets 30 or 15.

As the guild banker, I've pushed to make the bank more accessible to the guild. I've increased withdrawals at member and veteran level, reorganized the tabs, and encouraged member contributions. That's how I believe the guild bank should be, but the premise assumes that only safe accounts are accessing it. So let's all do our part to keep it safe. Get an authenticator. If money is an issue, better to take two weeks off of WoW to pay for it than to get hacked and lose all of your own work, and some of the guild's work. I want these things to go to YOU, the guild member that can use them, rather than some hacker. I love to see guildies progressing and getting use out of our guild's resources, but on the flip side, I can't stand to see hackers stealing the resources you all work hard to contribute.

If you suspect your account has been hacked, notify myself or another officer IMMEDIATELY so we can mitigate our losses.

TL;DR:
- Stop restacking what I unstack in the guild bank.
- Get an authenticator.
- Galatians is a nub.
- Tell an officer right away if you've been hacked.
 
I know in the past, I've been able to unstack items in the Gbank (I've done this to avoid taking more than i needed). I'm not sure if there are any restrictions on stacking/unstacking built into the game, so I'm not 100% sure that it could help to slow down hackers. =\

It's a good thought, though, either way.

@ piano: I was under the impression that stacking used a withdrawal, but I'm not sure where I got that. I'll test later, and if hackers can just restack and withdrawal that way, I'll have to move everything to guild treasure tab, and just put it in other tabs as it's used. It will require more managing, but hey - I'm up for it.

For instance, keeping with the abyss crystals example, I'd put maybe 2 stacks of 10 in the high mats tab, then put 5 full stacks in the treasure tab. Once the 2 stacks of 10 are used up, I'd replenish them from the treasure tab.

This may be what I end up doing, regardless of how withdrawals work.

haha wow i like the gala is a nub! since samboe is gone i get his spot now as the nub?
and i will admit i play around in the guild treasure tab making words like hi and hey i shall stop :( but yes stacking/unstacking doesnt take a withdrawl because i do it all the time.

and i really encourage people to get the guild tithe addon... i downloaded it and feel a lot better about actually giving something to the guild... i mean yeah if your poor in game it stinks BUT the addon can take any percent you want from stuff... mine being set at 10% so if your poor its not much that you give but hey its something
 
Gala - I did notice quite a contribution from you, lots of little bits at a time really adds up! I think I just assumed it used a withdrawal because it would make sense to make it that way.

In the future, I'll be regulating things like these by keeping most of them in the treasure tab, and putting them out as they are used.

(I don't mind if you make words though :P)
 
I find this all a bit frustrating... we need to get rid of all of that stuff, the xpac is coming and all that "Vanity" is going to be almost worthless.

If someone went out of their way to get it, as in hacking an account, so be it. I feel like we are getting all up in arms over stuff, over digital stuff on top of that. Instead let us pray for those that did it and maybe God can use this to reach someone in some way.
 
yes, we were robbed by a hacker this week.......we get about one person hacked a week. get authenticators, puulease.

It's there for the taking to anyone who would like. Just ask! Like I said, I don't like seeing stuff sit in the guild bank. I make good use out of a lot of the stuff in there, and so should the entire guild. If you want something - take it! If you can't take it, just ask!

Not sure what the map addon is though.
 
i <3 you samboe shadow UF is amazing! From that and taking out auctioneer for auctionlite it dropped my addon memory in half
