Stealth Buff in Cursed Shore?

Last night I signed on to do my usual dailies. I usually keep my Engineer stationed there for farming. His flamethrower is a good, constant AoE for tagging multiple targets.

Anyway, last night I signed on to him to do some gathering. He's usually stationed at Penitent Camp. When I signed on, the camp was overrun by Risen. In all the months I've played there (since Christmas at least), the Risen have never taken over the camp. I thought, "this is interesting" so I proceeded to clear out the camp. They killed me. As I was going 'down' I noticed that two of them were Veterans. Again, that was unusual - virtually all Risen that attack the camp are normals unless there's a sizable group (which causes them to scale up). So I thought, "I guess a group was here and left too early". I respawned at Caer Shadowfain. When I left the base, 'rounded the corner to head back to Camp Penitent, I found about a dozen NPC bodies and Risen gleefully standing over them. A failed event. Odd because the attempt to retake the Penitent Camp never fails. Even with just one person.

So I proceeded to extract the npc bodies and annihilate this horde of Risen. They killed me. I respawned and tried again. They killed me again. Then I noticed at least three of them were Veterans. This event never used Veterans, let alone three. So I respawned and treated this group with more respect. I started making some progress, but noticed they weren't dying very fast. I was eventually joined by two other players. And we all continued to struggle against the Risen, dying several more times in the process. We slowly escorted this group to Penitent Camp, noticing along the way several new developments:
1) Risen have more health. Maybe not alot more, but its noticable.
2) When they spawn there a few more of them in the group.
3) They spawn Veterans much more quickly and easily now.
4) They hit harder than they did before.

I was able to escort the group to Penitent Camp, retake Penitent Camp, clear out the tunnel to Shelter's Camp, retake Shelter's camp, escort the group to Jofast's Camp, take Jofast's Camp, then race back in time to stop the Risen attacking Penitent Camp again. These seven events were the classic chain that I used to play, that got nerfed two months ago with very slow respawning. I don't know if the respawning of the events have been sped up (I hope so) - more testing is required for that. But it seems that Cursed Shore has become much more dangerous than before.

Was that a fluke or was Cursed Shore stealthily buffed to make it harder? More testing will be needed. At this point, no patch notes mention it. Furthermore, no players seem to have noticed it. But I thought it was quite interesting.
