Some problems...

Don't know what's going on with my computer. CS froze, so i tried opening the Taskmanager to manually close it. Well the problem with that is Taskmanager wouldn't come out.. so I rebooted the machine, and it still won't come out. Not only that cmd, and various other important stuffs won't run or gives me errors.

If i try running regedit/cmd it gives me this error
C:\Windows\system32\cmd.com
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:053e IP:ffe4 OP:fe ff 1d 09 4f Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Task manager won't open up, no errors, jsut won't open. ctrl shift esc, ctrl alt delete both doesnt' respond.

I have everything backed up and ready if I need to format, but just wanted to see if there was any way to fix this without going through the hassle again.

Any suggestions?

Do you have a specific error message? Error message #? I assume thats it up there, but search google with it. I had that happen to me a year or so ago and I searched google and found that it was my hard drive.
