My comp is DOA

My cpu fan died so my computer is down for the count for a couple days. I have a new cpu cooler on the way but it won't be here till probably Wednesday.

My comp kept shutting off by itself and couldn't figure out why till i got in the bios and the temp showed 87c degrees :O and the fan showed 0 rpm. I hope my CPU wasn't damaged as a result. Will still boot up so that's a good sign.
 
Thats not good News Captain Tea, but it could have been worse than a fan, make sure to run a dxdiag, check out your voltages if you can, Bios is also a good place to make sure nothing is running out of tolerance. Can't have you out of the game now :)
 
My comp is back up :). I'm typing this from my wii internet channel browser :p. I never really messed with it till my comp broke, my kids just played it. It's pretty sweet, it even works with a usb keyboard :D.
