Happy St. Patrick's Day. I guarantee you I haz a more Irish name than you. At least they didn't butcher the hymn based on St Patrick's Breastplate. Here is the abbreviated version of the prayer you more often hear.
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

Interesting challenge, but you are probably right. My last name is an Anglicization of the Irish name. My dad and my aunt used to argue about our Irish heritage (mainly to get my aunt's goat I think) so she bought him one of those plaques with the history of your last name and the first line says that it is an English name. My dad laughed.

My name is so Irish it got me a 10% discount at Ponderosa today.

I was going to talk about OTR (old time radio) in a separate thread at some point (and likely eventually still will) but this is too perfect an opportunity to pass up a mention to Ursen.

Irish, a bear and a great thing to listen to with those who may be visually impaired -> http://www.radiolovers.com/pages/cinnamonbear.htm

It's so sweet you may get cavities listening to it. (actually said this before way back I think, oh well :p)

As a side note I was told recently I have Irish on my Father's side... somewhere way back... probably really far back because my Father didn't even know XD.
