I will get home friday about 3PM eastern time and get on TS.

I will need some peeps to help me get warmed up for spike calling
(or if anyone else wants to do it), basically a team pvp gang time

Also, as we are Christians (I sure hope your in the right place) We need to incorperate prayer before entering pvp.

Our goal should be to have a team ready by 7PM eastern (i know some of you work) and rotate members of the party and calling to distribute experience.

Cya in the hall on friday peeps

I won't be in till about 8:30pm EST or even a little later I live in Colorado 2 hours behind most everyone else. My Shop does not close till 6pm my time.

Thats perfectly fine, were not here to drag you into a deep dark dungeon and forcing you to play guild wars all night
(though i wouldnt mind if you did it to me)

I am on so early because that is the last day of school for me, wouldve been last week if the school board hadnt made exams manditory

I thought pVp was 10 oclock? on Firday nights? Also, im going to see Chronicles of Narnia with the Youth Pastor. So Ill post of I can't make it?

Official PvP night start time is 10pm eastern.

That being said, if smaller groups want to pull together at different times, I've got no problem with that. Just please plan to be ready to leave/let other guildmates join in at 10pm, but be respectful to anyone you pull in to any pick-up group.

For warm-up and 10pm, I'm sure it will depend on how many people are available, but what venue do you plan play in? I believe from previous discussions, we really need an 8 member team (5-6 spikers, 2-3 healers and 1 optional battery) to stack enough spiking damage to be effective, so are you planning on GvG or Tombs?

For a spike team to be effective, attacks must be coordinated. Please attempt to be on TeamSpeak, even if you don't have a functional headset/microphone, so you can hear the target and countdown being called.

Also, thanks for the reminder about opening in prayer. I mentioned that in one of my posts when I started as PvP coordinator, but never implemented it on Fridays.

10PM is a little late for me, the last few times ive been in pvp with this guild, we only got a few rounds in before we had the leave. My parents usually will start to kick me off around 12. Most of the younger members will have a hard time staying up around that time, my parents hate it when i do.

Point taken. I spoke with Vibro earlier this evening. Official start time will be 8pm this week. He will lead the group at that time. I will be on later to join up.

If there are others who would like a different PvP time on another night and/or would be willing to take a turn leading, please let me know. Just because I am not able to play earlier in the evening, does not mean we cannot have a scheduled event and it is probably about time to start working on setting up PvP on another time slot to make sure everyone has a chance to participate.

Okay, 10:00 is pretty late. So I have no problem in taking it. I can provide healing in your spike group by the way:) . Im going to see Chronicles of Narnia this Friday so if something happens Ill let you know if ill be there or not.

What would be interesting is a build with 5 air spikers 2 bond monks and a healer.

The bond monks would take 3 other members of the party and the other bond monk. It would be interesting to see how well that would work.

I was exparamenting in the low lvl pvp with life bond(I had nothing else to do) It was half and half. Its interesting to watch the other team try to figure it out, that was till i had 3 warriors chasing my monk :(

Any good spike group would recognise the protection monks though, and then they...well...spike em

LOL my main hard drive died. luckly my comp has a extra 120gb i have linux on, and a extra partition :P. Windows is now reinstalled, gw is going in now. This was a entertaining day. oh btw i dont like maxtor hard drives, 3 dead in one year is too many.

From what I understand, we didn't have enough people for a full Tombs team at 8pm, so those who wanted to PvP ran a team in Team Arenas. If anything significant or interesting happened, please let us know.

At a little after 10:30 tonight, after I finally made it on, we pulled together a full set of 5 air spikers and 1 healer. We picked up a couple of extra monks, who joined us on TS and we ran a few rounds in the Tombs. One of our earlier rounds resulted in a flawless win. It was impressive to see the air spike hit simultaneously and put one to 3 (chain lighting) down on one volley. We were unable to win another, although, there were several close matches. One notable one was an edge (Ranger Spirit - Edge of Extinction) bomb that causes every member of our group, and most of the other team to die simultaneously. The skill does damage to each nearby human when one human dies causing a chain reaction.

The IWAY (Warrior Shout - "I Will Avenge You!") build is quite common in Tombs. Even though it was close a few times, this build still was able to beat us. We should start looking at other team builds to counter the IWAY. One thing with IWAY, they usually all use secondary rangers with pets to trigger the dead ally effect from IWAY. Do NOT attack pets in this build, they are not a threat until they are dead.

Someone suggested we work on pulling together another team, a Ranger Spike build. I think this is a good idea and I know a few of us are working on our rangers right now.

Thanks to everyone who participated. At the end, one of the pick-up monks suggested that we add him to our friends list. Even though we did not win, he obviously enjoyed playing with us. I am proud that our group can present ourselves in this way to others.
