Hard Decisions

It has with much thought and consideration that I have decided to remove all my toons except Alhana(I plan on leaving her so I can stop by and say Hi occassionally) from Redeemed. I've been a part of Redeemed since it was Choose Joy and it has always felt like a comfortable home and family to me, but in the recent months however Redeemed doesn't feel so much like a home anymore just a place I come to visit. Whatever the reason whether it's a change in myself or Redeemed, I don't feel like I fit anymore.

To all my friends in Redeemed May God Bless you and your adventures in life. I'll be on Gnimish mostly so Sandric, Reco, Cassadine, Avesther I still plan on doing our Arenas together so don't think you'll get off that easy.

To Goblit I'd like to thank you for your friendship and the Christmas gift you gave to Gnimish.

All roads lead to Rome, or so they say, See ya around, and know "it was a good Day"

and know you always have friends!

It seems like we've lost a lot of 'guild comaraderie' with most of the officers and high levels always focusing on high level instance raids. We don't do much as a guild, like raids. There are a lot of people who have been helping others in instances and quests as they level when they need help, but we have so many new people and members in general, it's hard to get out to help each one on a regular basis.

Yes, the 'feel' of the guild has definitely changed since I started in the guild last year. I used to try to get raids going, but nobody was interested, always wanted to do the high level instances, so I stopped. Unfortunately that is going to be a drawback of the way WoW is set up. To do the instances at high levels, it takes at least 2 days for each instance - hence the saving of the instance. So for those people who'd like to work at an instance or two, they are looking at min 2 days a week, min 2-3 hours each day on a raid for an instance. It is very time consuming and doesn't let them spend much time doing the guild activity stuff we used to do. Pirate raids, and that type of stuff. Each person is required to obtain food, potions etc which requires farming for gold or product. Now we know what is termed as a 'raid guild' vs pvp guild etc. I see Redeemed having turned into a Raid guild, as that is the focus of most everyone at high levels.

Some guildies like the pvp, which they work in their time and is that is cool. I actually like pvp, but am not fantastic at it.

Still, overall, the 'feel of the guild has changed.

I was thinking a bit of the same thing this morning Schmeea. I figured, if Goblit wasn't running a Kara, I would run a ZG because its:

A: Lower level content
B: Includes people level 60+
C: Is content alot of the new to WoW people never got to see
D: A place where people can really try out the awesome power of their toons without having to farm consumables.
E: Does not require attunement
F: A place Redeemed had on farm status before TBC, but never really got to farm it because of TBC
G: Gear is inconsequential, everybody had better greens 5 minutes into the outlands, so its more about doing something as a group of friends then it is about progression.

But that is a side track, will miss you dearly Alhana, Gnimish, Theros et al!

Has the patch put everyone in a bad mood? I am loving Redeemed right now. I would stay in if just for the forums. You don't quality posts like ours anywhere except on the Blizzard WOW boards!

I would also be willing to set up lowbie raids, for like 20s-40s, whether I run them through, or bring my priest (Level 22) along... :)

I say this because as I was leveling I don't really feel that I was part of Redeemed, I almost felt ignored...until I hit 40+...so I am wanting to make all the lowbies feel apart of the guild, and that the higher people do care...

Ortheas is always willing to blow things up, if it won't take too much time away from my school work. 26 and back in school. Good times.

However, I would like to say that I am proud to be apart of such a wonderful guild, with wonderful people...so much so that I even thought about designing a tattoo for us that I really would've gotten... :)

In case it was missed, will miss you dearly CGamer, friend and ex guild leader and current leader by example in the guild!

Best of wishes and Blessings on your Walkabout!

I have been where you are; but know you have been and always will be my friend and brother in Christ. I have many memories of my time with YOU in Choose Joy, Redeemed, my missionary post in Sanctification, and then the "New & Improved" Redeemed. Rememeber to come back and visit as I often do, just to chat see whats going on etc how raids are going, check on your brothers and sisters... I still have few toons on Stonemaul, and the rest are on Stormscale..drop by either to visit!:)
