Garrison Info!

thanx for the links there Leth. What exactly is the purpose of the garrisons? Do they help us kill stuff?
 
Looks like it is a personal quest hub, source of gear and crafting aid all wrapped up in a Warcraft RTS style of constructing a base.
 
The way I heard it described was that it will work kind of like your farm does at Half Hill. Like you have a mailbox there and an inn. Now you can build a whole base. They had originally planned to set them up for guilds but then decided to let it be an individual thing to keep GM's from being too controlling.

I am really, really looking forward to the Garrison. I like the idea of collecting minions so I can send them out to get me stuff. And have access to the basics of other professions.
