Act 1:8 (KJV) "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

To those who are aware of the actual meaning behind this statement from our Lord, action is obvious in their lives.

The Holy Ghost is another name for The Holy Spirit. The power is expressed as greater understanding, seemingly super-heroic steadfastness in faith, certain Spiritual Gifts and other supernatural measurements too many to go into.

This power allows the recipient to perform Jesus's statement "and ye shall be witnesses unto me". One form of this witness (and it CAN BE a powerful witness) is what people see in the person and how they live.

Another is in Christ's message about where this witness will be. Many have compared the locations with how this should transpire.

We're told it will take place "...in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." First we must focus on the home front (Jerusalem). Then we can begin to expand to our surroundings (Judaea) and after that we can go a greater distance away (Samaria). Beyond that we can begin to cover more remote locations (and unto the uttermost part of the earth).

Since witnessing is an action the way we live is built into our lifestyles but the rest is more active and exhibited unto others via words into another's lifestyle.

This is one of many great ways to show Jesus (and other people) there is more of Him and less of ourselves in our lives. (See John 3:30)

Selah.
