Just wanted to know what everyone's favorite AoE2 civilation was (non expansion that is, since we will be playing it the most)

Nice.

My favorite is the TEUTONS.

Funny, Byzantines & Teutons are the only 2 defensive civilizations in AoE 2. :D
 
i prefer britian archers, they pwn and are cheap
 
For me it depends on the map.

I beleive one needs to be able to play a few.

Water map- Vikings
Random with some wood- Chinese
Black Forest- Persians

But it might depend on the civ you choose too-

I would not choose vikings against a good brit or turk.
I would not choose persians against Japanese
I guess my answer is it depends..........??

I do love 30 elite war elephants FTW!!!!!!
 
negative black forest pwns for brits, range + tree blockage = pwnage
 
The trees are not a defense....

I love when some guy turtles and so i go thru the trees with trebs or wood cutters or seige engines. They always call me a cheater.....
