Quote[/b] ]Jim as you saying i am driving him away from the faith? then oh what little faith one would have if such words can seperate them from God.

Not at all. To me, your words speak of a stronger, more thought out faith. I never suggested you or anyone was driving him away from faith.

Quote[/b] ]Jim, can you tell me more about this "Orange Walk"? I've never heard of that before.

Orange Walks, I believe, celebrate a battle in history when a Catholic army tried to breach the walls of city populated by Protestants. According to them, two boys shouted out 'No Surrender!' And remained loyal to King William. Ever since then, Orange walks, led by a leader of a Protestant 'Orange Lodge' (Basically a hang-out for them) are organised. Personally, I think it was some kind of arrogant display of defiance. I don't even know if this battle turned out quite like that, but I believe it was based on a true battle.

Tensions are quite bad here in UK. Tensions between the two are everywhere, usually based on Ireland. For example, a common 'identity' of Catholics is to support Celtic football team, wear green and hate the Queen. The Protestants usually support rangers and wave Union Jack flags and sing 'God Save the Queen', no doubt copying the Ulster Loyalists. Because of the thuggery between the two, tensions run high not only between Catholics and Protestants but between the Scottish and English, who still retain a sense of rivalry.

I can't remember what 'walks' Catholics went on, but I do remember my mother telling about them, telling me the two sides were as bad as each other. And she is a Catholic!

Ah, that's right, you're in the UK, I forgot.

That makes more sense

Things have always been particularly bad between Catholics and Protestants there.

Aye The church in England is dying in many aspects from what i have heard, many muslims are moving in and Europe is one of the fastest growing mulsim areas in the world.

Sorry Jim if it seemed like a hostile response i just did not understand what you had said.

Quote[/b] ]Byblos, faith with out works is dead james tells us.

Our spiritual act of worship is to present ourselves to God, not hearts, not our feet, our entire body that includes the mind, Jesus is not just the lord of hearts, He is Lord of ALL. Great faith? great faith in WHAT? Muslims have great faith, so do mormons and jehovah wittnesses, that doesnt mean that they are going to heaven. Romans 3:9-20 make it absoluely clear that no one is righteous and we are not going to heave. it is by grace alone we are saved yes, but God did not tell the disciples to Go out into the church and sing some songs. He said go out into the world and make disciples (a disciple is someone who studies what the master has tuaght) not church goers and attenders who listen to ONE disciple/teacher. Paul and Peter both tell us commonly in their epistles to study Gods word?

DO you have the sword of the spirit? what good is your shield of faith if you do not have the sword? or the belt of truth, are your feet fitted with the gospel of peace? do you even know where this is referrenced from? most of it is a direct quote.

How can you know God if you only listen to one man teach, no, knowning God is a personal relationship you have by studing His word and growing with Him in a daily walk and conversation
