Apocolyptica started out as an all cello metallica tribute band in the mid 90's. Their first album was all Metallica songs. They have kept up the trend but do other metal bands' songs on cello now.
They are some of the most talented musicians I have had the privilege of meeting. I got to meet them and see their first(and only one for over 10 more years) U.S. performance at the 1999 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) when I owned my guitar store.
They barely spoke any English at the time.
