    [Weekly - W] Now Playing

Still Puzzle & Dragons, though a lot less. Upgraded from a 64GB microSD card to a 256GB card in my Switch. What should have been a simple process turned into an hours-long ordeal. The upshot is that I discovered that my monthly bandwidth cap is 1TB. Didn't play much on the Switch this week, but...

[Weekly - F/Sa] Week In Review

Work has been returning to something resembling normal, which is a welcome change after the hectic pace of October and November. It's looking like things will ramp up again before the end of the year, but things aren't getting too crazy just yet. Thanksgiving went well. My dad came up, stayed...

[Weekly - Su/M] What did you learn/teach at church?

Our pastor started a new series on Advent today, with this morning's message focusing on hope. The text was Luke 2:22-28 and the pastor used Simeon and Anna as examples of people looking forward to the Messiah with hope. Similarly, we look forward to Christ's second coming with hope.

Still Puzzle & Dragons. Played a brief round of Team Fortress 2 on Tuesday. Also dabbled in Dragon's Crown on the Vita, Overwatch and StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void on PC, and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe on the Switch this week. I'm hoping to get another...

[Weekly - F/Sa] Week In Review

Oh my. Three weeks since I last posted. Celebrated my younger child's birthday this last week. Since the kids didn't have school Monday and Tuesday, we traveled out of town and stretched the celebration across 3 days. My dad came with us and we had a blast--except for the part where I had a...

[Weekly - Su/M] What did you learn/teach at church?

Our pastor continued his series on a passage in Ephesians 4 (specifically, Ephesians 4:4-6) that helps define what units us as a church: one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Today's sermon was on baptism and our pastor explained what baptism is and is not.

Still Puzzle & Dragons. Pulled one of the best leads in the game last week and the Samurai Shodown collab begins tomorrow. I've cleared almost all content in the game and I'm playing more casually, which has made the game more fun. Played Team Fortress 2 on Tuesday and Golf With Your Friends on...

[Weekly - F/Sa] Week In Review

Last week was...a week. Seven days. Seemed like 10, but it was only 7. Little one got her flu shot. Was glad to be able to be there with her. She didn't cry! What a trooper. <3 Work, church, and children's extracurriculars leave almost no margin, but still making it through. We shall soldier...

[Weekly - Su/M] What did you learn/teach at church?

Our pastor concluded a series on the life of Joseph and talked about his final years, his death, and his legacy. He pointed out that the New Testament highlights his faith that God would keep His promise to His people, which is telling because there are so many moments from Joseph's life that...

    [Weekly - W] Now Playing

Still Puzzle & Dragons. It's about the only mobile game left that I play (with the exception of Wordscapes, on the occasion where I don't forget that the game exists until 10-14 days into a month's worth of daily quests). It took me a long while to get back to it, but I picked Dragon's Crown...

Still Puzzle & Dragons. Finished Untitled Goose Game and revealed additional in-game to-do lists. My daughters and I loved the ending. Hoping to play more soon. Played in this week's TF2sday event on the Tribe of Judah server and had a blast. Shout-out to @The Mighty Gerbil for all the work he...

[Weekly - F/Sa] Week In Review

Had to chuckle at this. CloudSquall was my least favorite character of the series, Zidane was, for me, a welcome break in that he actually had personality from the outset instead of just moping (understanding that CloudSquall had reason to mope, but still unable to muster sympathy for a lead...

[Weekly - F/Sa] Week In Review

Going to make one of these posts on a Saturday for a change. Week was good. Got my flu shot. (Is it me, or do flu shot clinics keep starting earlier and earlier each year?) Work is busy but manageable. After work/school life is as crazy busy as ever (kids' extracurriculars or church 4/5...

[Weekly - F/Sa] Week In Review

I live! We've settled in to the new school year routine and, wow, what a busy routine it is. Between church on Sundays and Wednesdays, kids' extracurriculars Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and working on on Mondays (or Tuesdays) and Thursdays, weekdays are a blur and the weekends are...

[Weekly - Su/M] What did you learn/teach at church?

Our guest speaker taught on Mark 2:1-12 and the story of the four friends bringing the paralyzed man to Jesus. The speaker challenged the congregation to find ourselves in one of the 5 groups represented in the story (the 4 friends who led a friend to Jesus at great sacrifice, the paralyzed man...
