Wounded Serviceman

My other halfs second cousin was in Afghanistan for 6 weeks when he got wounded severely in an explosion. He was upgraded from critical to serious and is being medivaced to Walter Reed hospital state side. There are multiple wounds and a lot of work left to do, so please pray. He comes from a strong Christian family so that helps some. His name is Matthew to give you a focus name.

An update, they have moved him out of ICU and hope he will be ready to medivac out to the states on Friday. Still uncertain where he will be going stateside. An idea how bad it is, it takes 2 hrs to change bandages. But he and his wife are still looking to God, and staying focused on Who is their support and help in these times.

Another update. He is in the states at Walter Reed. The shrapnel is still proving to be a major issue with one piece lodged near a major artery. The leg that is most mangled has gone from painful to numb. So keep praying for Matt please.
