Oops. I had this ready to go, and forgot to post it. Rats.

1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (NIV)

Paul had just finished outlining clearly that we are promised new spiritual bodies after we die, and we are promised eternity as followers of Christ. He was writing to the church at Corinth, which was extremely infantile in their understanding of the Good News. So he wanted to reassure them that their faith was not in vain, and whatever difficulties they faced as they grew in their faith was worth it.

One of my favorite verses - "...labor in the Lord is not in vain" - thanks
