I. Master Fisherman

Ready to head on your path to becoming a Master Fisherman?

Head to Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh, and seek out the Master Fisherman, Juno Dufrain near the Umbrafen Lake. Purchase from him the lore of extreme anglers: Master Fishing - The Art of Angling.

Now, you're ready for the grind.

II. Number Factoids

Based on my time spent leveling up my fishing skill, these are some raw numbers of skill/catch I came up with.

--- 300/375 -> 330/375 averages out to around 8 or so catches per skill point gained.
--- 330/375 -> 355/375 averages out to around 10 or so catches per skill point gained.
--- 355/375 -> 375/375 averages out to around 12 or so catches per skill point gained.

I also fished up a couple "Curious Crates" while fishing, and they can contain any of the following: Fel Iron Ore, Knothide Leather Scraps, or Netherweave Cloth; and a Enormous Barbed Gill Trout, which you can eqiup in your off-hand slot.

IV. New Fishing Gear

So, you've gotta catch new fish, well first you gotta get new gear, as the skill to fish some of Nagrand is pretty high!

One new fishing pole has been added to our "Angler's Arsenal" in WoW, and that is Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole, which is a reward for the quest Rather Be Fishin'.

It gives +20 to your fishing skill, as well as a whopping +52 stamina. This is gonna be great for the alliance who can't get the Nat Pagle's +25 pole.
