Super Sticky Jumps

Not sure if you guys have seen this but apparently it's possible to use a single sticky to jump from one sniper deck to the other in 2forts?

How?

Our good friend, the crouch jump. (and you just thought it was for Scouts)

Plant a sticky, run up to it, crouch, jump and detonate. You'll go flying. Pretty cool. :)
 
I've made that jump before, but more often than not you die on impact. It's not to difficult to really go flying as a demo. The problem is having enough health to kill people when you land.
 
Well, the neat thing about the crouch jump is that you can go further using one sticky vs. using 2 or more. Or did you mean you've made that jump before using the crouch jump technique?
 
I've always use crouch jumps. You should also use crouch jumps with Soldiers because you can get a lot more height. The jump in 2fort is tough even with the crouch jump. I can make the jump, but I tend to die on impact.
